I am the Managing Director of Steps to wellness, the directory created to provide you with guidance and assistance in restoring and keeping well and fit in all regards (by the way, I am the one in the green T shirt).

In 1982 at the age of 12 I had a Subarachnoid haemorrhage that left my body with little co ordination and many problems.

Physiotherapy got me back on my feet to the point that I could leave Hospital; from here on my family did the best they could with regards to my rehabilitation but were at a loss as to where to find further help, information and guidance.

At the age of 21 I realised my vocation was to help others that were unhappy in their physical state. I spent the next 12 years becoming qualified as a fitness specialist and helping individuals achieve their physical goals. I have enjoyed helping many to accomplish this, however, I found many people asking for my help in areas I am not qualified. This is one of the reasons the directory was created - to provide the public a central place to find the therapy or health provision needed.

I have recognised the necessity to provide information with regards to Health professionals and health related services so that individuals can easily access health provision. The directory is one Step to attain this there are many more like public events, the HEART team, a Centre of health in each county, as well as making it possible to have more therapies available on the NHS.
