The last rays of Summer spent... PDF Print E-mail

Today is last day of August, which according to the Met Office is the last day of Summer and tomorrow, the first day of Autumn.

Long days and better weather mean most people spend more time outside than in and Summer is a time to enjoy gentle skies, soft grass and pleasing breezes.

So it is easy to see why some find it difficult to adjust to the idea of shorter days, cooler weather and bulky clothes but Autumn shows us a beauty in death and brings with it a promise of spring to be kept safe through the winter.

And as we get older and we journey through the seasons year by year we start to understand the wider circle of life and our own seasons.

It is no wonder that every culture has its own stories of rebirth.

I would like to think that there are other people also enjoying the last rays of summer spent this afternoon.
